Andrew Scarlett is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Avon, CT who attends Avon Old Farms. Long and lean projectable build. Works exclusively from the stretch with a closed start and a low leg raise to start him down the mound, medium length arm swing to a 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well and has some deception in his mechanics. Worked a big velocity band with four and two-seam fastballs, topped out at 91 mph with some sink low and cutting action glove side. Slider had short cutting type action with lateral shape, change up had some run at times. Very good athlete, ran the sixty in 6.75 and showed his arm strength and defensive skills well in the outfield. Right handed hitter, has a big leg raise load that leaves him late starting his swing, swings hard and flashes some bat speed when he gets the barrel out on time. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
