Joey Esposito is a 2023 C/RHP/3B/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Tinton Falls, NJ who attends Communications. Esposito has evident strength in the frame that revealed itself throughout the event. Starting from his primary spot behind the dish, he used a low side saddled set that showed plenty of bounce after receiving to work directly in line down to second. The arm action was compact and repeatable with accurate throws, posting a 1.93 pop time. On the mound, Esposito displayed a compact delivery and high 3/4 slot with evident feel for spin in the arsenal. He broke off multiple hammer 12-6 curveballs around 2550 rpm for swing and miss. At the plate, the righty started from a wider even base with the ability to generate impact gap to gap. He stayed inside the baseball with dangerous intent and effort on each swing, posting an exit velo of 87 mph. Ran a 7.84 sixty yard dash. Great student.
