Cole Cruz is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-9 163 lb. frame from Shady Shores, TX who attends Denton Guyer. Recorded a 7.68 second 60 yard dash time. Primary middle infielder with a full arm action and high effort release. Moves well laterally and shows good footwork. Fields it out front with good funnel to the center of the body. Right-handed hitter with a straight stance and wide base upon foot strike. High intent swing with with good bat speed for his age. Shows an uphill swing path with a power-oriented approach. Creates aggressive lift in the swing and stays to the middle of the field. Found a couple of solid barrels in game. Solid mechanics with a good chance to keep improving. Excellent student.
