Estevan Uriegas is a 2008 LHP/OF with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Westwood. Estevan has a shorter but very athletic frame with good present strength. He exudes confidence on the mound and has a very good presence. He is not afraid on any hitter and challenges every batter. He works very quickly and has good tempo in his delivery. He motion is somewhat unique, but he repeats it very well. His fastball has some downward tilt and was up to 85 mph. As a defensive outfielder his feet work well to the ball and he makes accurate throws with carry. At the plate hits from a narrow base with a short load, and creates solid barrel contact. He did a good job taking the ball to the opposite field and can handle the ball on the outer half of the plate. He has good speed underway, and is a smart baserunner. Uriegas is a solid 2-way prospect, and is also a very good student.
