Griffin Binkley is a 2021 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Mansfield Legacy. Medium athletic build with room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Pitches exclusively out of the stretch. Mid leg lift with simple mechanics overall. Good direction down the hill. Fastball sits 83-87 mph and possesses good downward angle to the plate. Likes to pitch primarily off of the fastball, locates it well to all four quadrants. Mixes in an 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good late break to the plate. Ability to generate empty swings with. the pitch. Also throws a 71 mph fading change. In the infield, fields out in front and shows softness to his forehand side. Ability to make plays on the move and can throw across the diamond from multiple slots with accuracy. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a ton of quick twitch ability. Good bat speed through the zone, allows the ball to get deep and hunts the inner half of the baseball. Flat barrel plane, middle of the field approach. Great student in the classroom as well. Named to the South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
