Ethan Box is a 2020 1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Cinco Ranch. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.73 seconds. Stood out with the bat, hits from slightly open stance with good balanced set, gets lower half involved and drives through swing, strength stands out, impacts the ball out front and can really drive it, easy carry and jump up the gaps with HR power to the pull-side, projects as a potential middle-order bat, well-timed and powerful. Plays a good first base as well, hands work well out front, fluidity and ease of operation to actions, clocked up to 73 mph on throws. Also pitched, shorter inline stride downhill with upright finish over front side, hooks through the back, fastball worked 75-79 mph with good life to the arm side, showed slurvy breaking ball with some bite to it, also flashed a changeup. Good student, named to 2019 South Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
