Carson Prouty is a 2020 LHP/ with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Hermon, ME who attends Bangor. Large frame with lean, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.08 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, clean and compact delivery, good direction to the plate, full arm stroke through the back to high three quarters slot, creates good plane to the plate, fastball worked 80-82 mph with good life, commands fastball well, showed curveball with power to depth and bat-missing snap. Hits from open stance with big leg lift trigger, shows bat speed with whip to barrel, pull-side approach with intent to lift and drive the ball, shows solid jump to gaps, projects well for power. Worked out in the outfield, twitch to actions, smooth coming in on the ball, arm works well and has big carry on throws, clocked up to 85 mph. Good student, named to 2019 Northeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
