Nick Bell is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Sterling. Medium athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Works from the stretch with a sound mechanical delivery, good balance and direction, extended arm action in back, high 3/4's arm slot, arm is loose and clean coming through. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, gets good arm side running action at times and has good angle on his pitches, works low in the zone with his fastball and misses low when he misses. Slurve type breaking ball with good tightness and bite and depth, has a feel for landing his curveball for strikes and could use it more. Gets nice run and sink on his change up. Three-pitcher starter type who will continue to improve and throw harder. Showed his athleticism and arm strength well in the outfield with well schooled footwork. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, loads to his back side and tends to stay there, pull contact, can improve his bat speed with better shift into contact. Good student. Named to the South Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
