Ethan Pope is a 2020 RHP/2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Ladera Ranch, CA who attends San Juan Hills. Slender frame with a lengthy frame and room to add moving forward. Ran a 7.76 second 60-yard dash. Primary rightahnded pitcher with a smooth and athletic side step delivery into a high leg lift to the belt. Lands on line to the plate with drop and drive actions down the mound. Loose arm action in the back to a mid three-quarters release. Quick arm action. Creates some plane on the fastball with the ability to throws it past hitters with some deception at 82 MPH. Mixes in a shorter breaking ball with 12-to-6 late break. Secondary infielder with a deeper funnel and clean exchanges into throws. Moves well in both directions able to stay up the middle. Three-quarter slot with developing accuracy and throws at 80 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a balanced and even stance. Very simple leg lift trigger for timing. Stays balanced through swing with an inside hand path to contact on a line drive barrel plane. Middle of the field approach but can create sharp contact to all fields.
