Parker is a scrappy, versatile polished offensive player typical of the players who come out of coach Mark Johnson’s Cherry Creek HS program. Parker played mostly outfield in Lincoln, but we’ve seen him at a number of other positions, including catcher, and he has the ability to play all of them. He shows a nice arm, especially behind the plate. He runs MLB average and he knows how to hit. Parker’s swing is short with just a bit of loft in it. He generates good bat speed and showed the ability to make consistent contact in game situations against some of the best pitching in America. Parker is an average runner at 6.84 in the 60 and runs the bases aggressively and with good instincts. In fact, he plays the game with good instincts. He is a solidly built 6'0/180 with some room to add strength yet. Coming out of a great high school program makes him very interesting to top college programs. Chris is an excellent student.
