Trenton Lape is a 2023 3B/MIF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Bossier City, LA who attends Parkway High School. Slender athletic build, lots of wiry strength with the potential to add more. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a well timed hand pump load, attacks aggressively with a pull side approach, gets the barrel out, showed big raw power both in batting practice and with a deep game home run off an 88 mph fastball, ball comes off the barrel loud. 6.92 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense. Has been in the low 90's off the mound in the past but was not comfortable throwing at this event. Bat and power stand out. Good student, verbal commitment to LSU.
