2019 Great Lakes Indoor Showcase
Joseph Gallo is a 2020 1B/OF with a 5-11 193 lb. frame from Niles, OH who attends McKinley. Medium frame, stocky with some present strength on the build. Ran a 6.89 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, worked out showcasing agility laterally, fields the baseball with a deep funnel, shows athleticism off of the bag, takes his arm back to a compact arm stroke into throws. Secondary outfielder, fields the baseball to the side with a high gathering position, releases from an upright position, similar arm action as at first base, topped out at 79 mph from the outfield. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an even stance and a high hand set, clean and low effort swing, shifts well into his swing creating a downhill and compact swing plane, showcased some strength off of the barrel when squared especially to each gap, present juice with additional power potential.
