Shane Kinsley is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Valencia, CA who attends Saugus. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame and build. Slow and smooth delivery with a high leg lift, landing with good linear direction and foot strike and getting good extension over the front side. Shows great pitchability and mound presence by working ahead in the count and finding ways to keep hitters off balance. Delivers from a three-quarters slot, throwing the fastball at 79-to-81 miles per hour. Has good command and control of a curveball with slurvy shape at 65 miles per hour. Likes to throw the curveball in any count and it is a very effective pitch. Secondary third baseman with developing actions and throws that are accurate to the bag at 81 miles per hour. From first base, has slow and deliberate movements in approach to the ball. Developing glove work at the position, showing good ability to come in and make a play on a slow roller. Upright and open stance at the plate, with reaching trigger and some linear shift into contact. Has a loose hand path with a line drive barrel plane. Developing barrel control with a middle of the field approach.
