2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Braeden Best is a 2023 C/IF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Round Rock. Recorded a 7.44 in the 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, with a tall and athletic frame, sits behind the dish with a narrow, inside turned stance with a long arm action and gains good ground as he accurately throws the ball to second base at 79 mph with a pop time of 1.89. The right-handed hitter steps to the plate with a narrow stance, low hand set, and shows a compact swing with quick hip rotation. Best has good bat speed as he works middle of the field approach with developing barrel control. Excellent student. Named to the WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect list.
