Ryan Daniels is a 2021 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Oceanside, CA who attends Vista. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with an early close, short and compact swing with plus barrel skills, squared up balls consistently through batting practice and games with hard middle of the field line drive contact. Played both outfield and infield, much more comfortable in the infield, second base tools, has good instincts and routes to the ball with soft hands fielding. Also pitched, simple and repeatable mechanics, uses his hips well to help generate velocity, works out of the stretch. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with big running action. slider was his best pitch with big sweeping life from a bit lower slot, plus strike thrower. Aggressive player who plays above his tools and has plus skills. Looks like he's played lots of baseball and understands the game. Named to the South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
