Justin Cruz is a 2022 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 163 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Osceola. Large frame with a slender build and room to fill out. Ran an 8.15 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a slow rocker step delivery into a medium leg lift. Lands in line down the mound while staying tall at the gather. Has some slight body tilt and the release. Works through a full arm action in the back into a three-quarter release. Works to contact and created weak ground ball with consistency. Some plane on the fastball topping out at 77 miles per hour. Still developing feel for the curveball with a loose spinning 12-to-6 shape. Also worked out as a secondary outfielder. Shorter strides to the ball and getting the glove out front with a funnel up. Short hop transfer with a longer wind up to release. Developing arm strength to the infield topping out at 72 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with an even stance to start and high leg lift trigger. Linear drift into contact working through downhill swing. Has some fluidity when getting the hands through. Gets around the ball and can work to the pull side. Consistently produces line drives off the bat. Good student as well.
