Nicholas Mota is a 2020 1B/3B/RHP with a 5-11 257 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends Foster. Extra large build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a medium leg raise load, swings hard and creates some bat speed, pull approach with the ability to drive the ball up the gap when he squares up, handled the barrel well and battled with two strikes. 8.25 runner, shows good one spot athleticism at first base and plays low to the ground for his size, gets rid of the ball quickly. Also pitched, has a simple delivery he repeats well with a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with nice running action, showed depth on his slider and threw both pitches for strikes. Good athlete with some baseball skills if he can keep his size under control moving forward.
