2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Jack Moses is a 2023 C/1B, OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Belle Mead, NJ who attends The Lawrenceville School. Recorded a 7.29 second sixty-yard dash time. Larger frame with a high waist, lean muscle throughout and some room to physically mature. Primary catcher that receives from a wide, slightly side-saddle stance with soft hands and fairly quick mid-line transfers. Gains ground with uphill movements out of the crouch, staying online to deliver throws to the bag. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph from behind the plate during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a a wide base with a flat, deep hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates a lift-and-replace trigger for timing, minimal weight shift into contact and upward swing path. Displayed developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel that will improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Mostly pullside approach with occasional line drive impact to the middle-of-the field when on-time. Solid overall skill set with tons of projection remaining, will improve with refinements to his tools and physical maturity. Excellent Student.
