Joshua Bain is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Johnson. Showed some good speed and athleticism, running a 7.00 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a slender frame that has some size and projectability. Starts from the windup with simple side step into a leg lift that reaches slightly above the belt. Goes into drop and drive actions down the mound with good linear direction at foot strike. Has a long and loose arm action in the back into a high three-quarter arm slot, getting some present extension over the front side into finish. Creates some downhill plane to the fastball that comes out clean and easy at 77-82 miles per hour. Slows the arm down some on a curveball with 11-to-5 shape and average depth at 63 miles per hour. Secondary outfielder that has long and deliberate actions to and through the baseball. Has some athletic actions with a clean glove, and features some present arm strength and carry on accurate throws up to 84 miles per hour. Has a tall and straight leg stance at the plate with a line drive barrel plane and leg lift trigger. Swing is long at times with a middle of the field approach, and some power potential that can develop with added strength and size. Excellent student.
