Jessie Flores III is a 2021 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Langham Creek. Recorded a 7.09 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with some present athleticism. Primary infielder; shows deliberate footwork into and through the fielding process with good reactionary skills to either side. Well-engaged lower half movements with clean funnel out in front and the ability to throw from multiple angles across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 80 mph across in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher with fairly simple delivery and the ability to throw strikes. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s in this look, topping out at 78 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Whole field approach with flatter, line drive path and some present bat speed. Shows consistent bat-to-ball skills with advanced feel for the barrel and the ability to create some impact to all fields. Solid overall skill set with upside at the plate and fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Good Student.
