Drew Haines is a 2024 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Hammonton, NJ who attends Hammonton. Haines works from a younger medium build with additional room to fill out and develop. Starting from his primary IF spot, he showed the ability to field out in front with clean glove actions and fluid transfers through release. The mechanics looked natural with further room to add arm strength currently up to 78 mph across the diamond. On the mound, Haines used a slower controlled operation and kept the front side closed effectively to hide the ball for an extended period of time. As he matures, expect the off speed arsenal to become more prominent. Offensively, the righty started from a balanced even base with a compact hand path directly through the zone to spray line drives to all parts of the field. He uses a contact first approach with consistency to the stroke. Ran a 7.52 sixty yard dash.
