James (Grady) Birmingham is a 2020 OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA who attends Mater Dei HS. Strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a big leg lift trigger, lots of pre-swing movement in his load, can use his strong lower half more to generate bat speed, swings hard with a strong swing and gets some jump off the barrel, line drive swing with some lift out front, has the strength to continue to develop as a hitter. 7.21 runner, is aggressive and direct through the ball, keeps his momentum through his throws, has some arm strength and makes on line accurate throws. Very good student.
