Coltin Atkinson is a 2020 RHP/MIF with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Porter, TX who attends Porter HS. Tall and very slender build with plenty of frame to add strength to. Well balanced delivery with a high leg lift gather, long takeaway and arm action with a loose extended arm action, gets downhill well and repeats his mechanics, nice overall delivery. Consistent low 80's fastball, topped out at 82 mph, gets lots of consistent and varied life to his fastball, can sink it to both sides of the plate and get some ride above barrels. Good downer depth on his curveball with tight spin. Advanced change up with big tumble. Throws strikes and has an idea with all his pitches, biggest challenge will be to gain strength and improve his velocity, everything else is in place. 7.52 runner, moved well side to side on defense during drills. Right handed hitter with a high hand open start, upper body rotational swing, spray contact. Very good student.
