Gavin Kilen is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Milton, WI who attends Milton. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build, some present strength to frame with plenty of room to fill. Ran a 6.81 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, aggressive to the ball and plays with balance, sound overall actions, snatchy hands, fast transfer and release, twitch plays in actions, accurate throws across the diamond with cary, repeats well. Left-handed hitter, begins with an even, slightly open base and a high hand set at the plate; utilizes a short leg lift trigger, will get to front side early. Loose hands and generates loft out front at the point of contact, contact oriented approach with ability to control barrel and work to all parts of the field. Line drive approach, shows quickness to swing, power projects with added strength. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Louisville. Selected for the 2021 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
