Hernhy Lara is a 2018 3B/OF with a 6-3 206 lb. frame from Dorchester, MA who attends Boston International HS. Extra large build, extremely physical build with athleticism. Ran a 7.23 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, fluid actions throughout, really smooth slow roller during round, clean exchange with average arm strength across the diamond. Also took reps in the outfield, fields the ball out in front similarly to in the infield, long arm action into throws with similar arm strength as in the infield. Righthanded hitter, wide and slightly open stance, strength in swing with quick hands, small leg lift trigger, gets extended well with good bat speed present throughout, ball jumps off the barrel well with a gap to gap approach and natural loft. Event best 82 mph across the infield and 91 mph exit velocity. Good student. Named to 2018 World Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
