Daniel Flier is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Creve Coeur, MO who attends Christian Brothers College HS. Ran a 7.37 second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a tall and athletic frame. Projects physically with athletic actions to the fielding process. Fields off the front foot with a big crow hop to throw, staying under control in the approach to the ball and making throws from an over the top slot at 84 miles per hour. Left-handed hitter with a tall and even stance, a high back elbow and line drive barrel plane. Executes a middle of the field to pull-side approach with developing bat speed and some strength at the point of contact. Secondary right-handed pitcher that projects well on the mound. Starts from the windup with a small side step to a belt high leg lift. Has consistent lower half direction, landing slightly closed with good extension out front. Fastball has steep down plane from an over the top slot, sitting at 82-85 miles per hour. Pitch is heavy and gets on hitters quick. Flashes developing feel for a tight-slider, showcasing some bite and depth through the zone in the low-70s. Also shows feel for a change-up with fading action at 78 miles per hour. Good student. Named to 2020 National Indoor Showcase, Top Prospect List.
