Kyler Brown is a 2020 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from South Elgin, IL who attends St. Charles North HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and hands play at the ball, shows balance while charging, can continue to refine overall footwork, short arm action with an over-the-top release point, arm strength will continue to develop with physical strides. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a wide base; utilizes a short leg lift trigger for timing in swing. Stays short to the ball and shows quickness to hands with best contact coming when working on a linear swing path. Projects well with additional physical gains, occasionally gets mistimed but makes steady hard contact of the barrel and shows a feel for it. Tools in the box to follow. Good student.
