Alex Forman is a 2023 SS/RHP, IF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Rolling Hills Estates, CA who attends Palos Verdes. Medium frame with a young, lean type build. Ran a 7.28 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, utilizing an agile first step as he proved to have lateral range while working around the baseball smoothly. Gathers out front before funneling to the body. Works quickly into transfer and release. Arm strength showing as he threw it 82 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch as he lifts to the belt while staying under control. Sits on backside and drives off as he worked with a lively arm action. Released from a three-quarter slot and filled up the zone with a three pitch mix. Fastball up to 83 mph as it flashed late arm side run. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball that was sharp proving to be a swing and miss type pitch. Rounded off the arsenal with a diving changeup that he proved he could land for strikes. Upside on the mound showing going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from a wide base before working into a hanging leg lift to stride. Strength in the hands present as he generated easy bat speed. Proved he could pull the baseball for power as he impacted out front while getting extended. Power type bat showing and projects even more thump down the road as he ages. Outstanding Student. Named to California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
