Eddie Mgdesyan is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Encino, CA who attends Sierra Canyon. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders with present strength proportioned throughout frame, strength to lower half and has additional room to fill. Ran an 8.15 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with softness to hands, shorter strides moving towards the ball, shows ability to drop arm slot, has arm strength and carry on throws across and gets on top of the ball, can continue to incorporate additional lower half while working through the ball. Also pitched, side step into delivery with a tight and compact arm stroke, works to an over-the-top release. Some effort at release, shows sink when on top of ball and topped out at 77 mph, mostly true. Curveball shows nice potential, 12-6 shape with depth from similar release point up to 67 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with an even stance; utilizes a small stride for timing moving into contact. Upper body dominant swing, occasionally gets to front side early, incorporates physical strength well and shows jump off the barrel when squared. Linear swing path through the zone, comfort working the middle of the field with extension out front, easy swing overall and projects moving forward.
