Julian Gonzales is a 2021 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Rio Rancho, NM who attends V. Sue Cleveland. Solid athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a very simple load and trigger, has quick hands and gets the barrel out on time with good strength behind it, ball comes off the barrel well, can use his lower 1/2 strength more to help generate bat speed, mature hitter who will keep improving. 7.34 runner, has good hands on defense and watches the ball into his glove well, some arm strength and carry across the diamond, third base tools and actions. also pitched, rotational delivery from a big leg raise start, short stride out front. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, gets nice tailing action when his arm is on time. Developing feel for his curveball spin and release. Solid all around player. Very good student.
