Cole Carrigg is a 2020 C/RHP/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Turlock, CA who attends Turlock. Long and lean athletic build, really projects well physically. Plus runner, 6.64 in the sixty. Has very quick hands behind the plate, gets rid of the ball quickly with very good on-line arm strength, overall catching mechanics still developing but has the raw tools and athleticism to stand out defensively. Unquestionably able to play all over the field athletically. Switch hitter, has a different approach from each side. Long and leveraged swing from the right side with some back side collapse, swings with intent and is looking to lift the ball. Spread and open left handed with a smoother more balanced swing, will hit to all fields. Very interesting young athlete with a very good chance to keep improving. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.
