Cole Gilbert is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Escalon, CA who attends Escalon HS. Extra big and strong well proportioned build. Right handed hitter, has a short swing for his size from an upright and narrow stance, has strength in his swing and can drive the ball hard to all fields, shows patience at the plate and has an idea what he's doing in the box, will hit home runs and produce runs at the next level. 7.34 runner, moves well at first base with good footwork, puts himself into position to make accurate throws. Also pitched, slow paced leg raise delivery, 3/4's arm slot, threw lots of strikes from the wind up with less timing from the stretch, fastball topped out at 78 mph. Bat is his tool. Good student.
