Louis Rodriguez is a 2022 RHP/3B, 1B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends St. John Bosco HS. Recorded a 7.56 second 60-yard dash time. Lean, athletic frame with tons of room for physical projection upon the current build. Primary righthanded pitcher who throws exclusively from the stretch. Full arm path with looseness to the stroke and throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Big gather over the backside and creates run on the fastball up to 79 mph. Long stride down the mound and the arm works well. Downer life to the curveball with 11/5 shape and can throw it consistently for strikes. Secondary infielder who fields out in front with some carry on throws across. Can throw from multiple slots and displayed good footwork while maintaining athleticism on the charge in. Righthanded hitter with a high leg lift, high hand set, and high back elbow. Creates natural leverage to the path and repeats the swing well. Looking to lift the ball and made consistent hard hit contact. Creates extension and separation with lots of pull side deep fly balls. Swing projects very well as does power with additional strength. Named to the 2018 14u West Top Prospect List. Good student.
