Dominic Brancel is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Huntsburg, OH who attends Hawken. Compact and young frame with plenty of room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.35 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate with a side saddle stance and a higher set position, receives the ball out in front, comes through it well with a longer arm action at take back, gets on top of his throws showcasing a repeatedly clean exchange, took a really nice round behind the plate with tools that project well. Also worked out in the outfield, moves to the baseball with athleticism, accurate arm with arm strength that shows potential up to 80 mph. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a slightly open stance and high hand set, looseness to hands with a compact swing path, gets his lower half involved into contact but could utilize more of a weight shift for added pop and potential bat speed. Outstanding student.
