Jason Baldwin is a 2019 OF/ with a 5-11 182 lb. frame from Fairway, KS who attends Shawnee Mission East. Medium and strong frame with plenty of room to continue to fill out physically. Ran a 6.75 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball quickly, could improve control through the point of gather, fields baseball to the side leading to a shuffle into release, short arm action into throws, average arm strength topping out at 78 mph, arm strength could improve with more lower half involvement to release. Righthanded hitter, wide base with an even stance and an extra high hand set, toe tap trigger to begin swing and used for timing, showed some feel for the barrel with quick hands that produce good bat speed, line drive approach and a line drive swing plane, worked line drives to all fields with a really clean round executing approach nicely. Good student. Named to 2018 Rocky Mountain Top Prospect List.
