Gage Haden is a 2019 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Bowie HS. Tall and lean build with broad shoulders and long arms and legs, very projectable physically. Right handed hitter, late deep hand hitch load impacts his timing occasionally, swings hard with an uphill swing plane, will occasionally collapse his back side and hit from under the ball, pull approach, has a good swing approach for his size and tools, hard game contact and showed his power. Took a turn on the mound, exaggerated coil to start his delivery with lots of variables before release, likely has some deception to hitters. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, mostly straight, still developing feel for his secondary pitches. Getting to his power as often as possible will be the key to his development. Elite level student.
