Justin Baldwin is a 2020 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-11 179 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends St. Bernard. Medium to large athletic build with plenty of room to still fill out as he develops, posted a 6.98 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary first baseman, reads the ball well off the bat and shows strong footwork off the bag. Has the ability to be accurate from multiple slots and has solid overall feel for the position. On the mound, has a longer arm action from a three-quarters arm slot. Generates good downhill plane on his 75-81 mph fastball. Mixes in a 1-to-7 shaped curveball that possesses some depth as well as a 72 mph changeup. From the outfield, approaches the ball aggressively and stays low to and through the baseball. Showcases his strong arm to the plate. Keeps the ball down and keeps his throws on line to home plate. Present fluidity throughout his fielding actions. At the plate, uses a narrow and slightly closed stance with a heavy hand coil into his load which generates good whip to his barrel. Elevated barrel plane through the zone with present pop to all fields. Middle to pull side approach that looks to generate hard contact at all times.
