Trenton Hedgepeth is a 2021 C/1B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Ellenton, FL who attends Braden River. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a nice load to his backside and a good shift through contact, is well balanced and timed and keeps his mechanics simple, has present bat speed and strong hands at contact, very well executed swing, ball jumps off his barrel hard to the pull side and has some lift as well, gets extended through contact, showed the ability to go with the outside pitch as well. Potential high level hitter. 7.59 runner, sets up well behind the plate, has soft hands receiving the ball, arm stroke is long at present. Also plays the outfield. Took a turn on the mound and threw strikes with a mid-70's fastball from a low effort smooth delivery. Bat is his tool and it's a very good one. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
