Irving Norwood Ill is a 2021 SS/2B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.85 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with aggressive footwork while working to the baseball. Showed developing feel while funneling the baseball and worked through exchange quickly. Released from a three-quarters slot created some carry to the bag with developing accuracy, topped at 75 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Displayed good balance throughout swing while employing a mid field approach. Good student.
