Brody Hopkins is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Summerville. Tall and angular athletic build, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a loose and extended low tension swing, creates some leverage and barrel whip, shows good lift to the middle of the field when he's timed up, projects lots of power as he gets stronger. 6.68 runner in the sixty, works through the ball very well in the outfield with solid fundamental footwork and a good transition to throwing, has a loose and whippy arm action makes accurate throws. Also pitched, has definite potential as a two-way player. Up tempo delivery with good lower and upper half synch, full arm circle with a low to mid 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball topped out at 89 mph with good running action. Slurve type breaking ball with some sweeping depth. Projects in all areas. Good student, signed with College of Charleston. Named to the World Showcase Top Prospect List.
