Josh Meador is a 2019 3B/ with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny Centennial. Medium frame with an athletic build. Primary third baseman with aggressive footwork while rounding and surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball with clean actions from a slightly deeper position. Flashed good range while moving to the baseball to each side. Released from a three-quarters slot producing accurate carry to the bag, topped at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Smooth, simple hand path to contact with a slightly lifted plane through extension. Showed good feel for the barrel with the ability to manipulate bat head and work to all fields with ease. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 Midwest Underclass Showcase, Top Prospect List.
