Holden Phelps is a 2020 RHP with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Crystal Lake, IL who attends Prairie Ridge. Big athletic build with plenty of physical projectability. Slow paced delivery with a long off line arm action in back, short stride out front, gets good plane to the plate with some crossfire angle, can use his lower half better in generating arm speed. Upper 80's fastball topped out at 90, mostly straight, can get his fastball to the glove side better. Big breaking curveball is an effective pitch and landed for strikes with 11/5 shape, developing change up. Good student.
