Rhett Lowder is a 2020 RHP with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Albemarle, NC who attends North Stanly High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with plenty of room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, short rock step moving into delivery with leg lift up to belt; compact arm stroke through the back shows looseness and quickness while getting to a true three-quarters release point. Shorter and on line stride down the mound, clears front side well and helps generate solid and consistent sinking life to fastball. Topped out at 86 mph, worked to both sides of the plate and filled the strike zone. Showed comfort landing 12-6 shaped curveball for strikes, bite to the pitch with depth and played off fastball well. Outstanding student.
