Austen Kessler is a 2019 RHP with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Out-Of-Door Academy. Big and extra strong athletic build. High 3/4's arm slot with some spin tilt, gets on top of the ball very well and creates plane, hides ball well in back, good use of his strong hips to help create velocity. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, has been up to 91 mph at PG events in the past, ball gets on hitters quickly due to ability to hide the ball, lots of swing/miss in the zone. Quality curveball with good power and tight spin, true 12/6 downer shape at times. Works around the strike zone. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a loose swing with some extension through contact, line drive swing plane with some gap to gap carry. Signed with State College of Florida.
