Kody Abrisz is a 2020 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Newport News, VA who attends Menchville. Medium frame with a slender build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.54 second 60-yard. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Deliberate close to the baseball while fielding out front. Clean footwork when working through transitions. Shows range when working to both sides of the field. Releases from a compact three-quarters arm slot showing accurate carry to the bag topping out at 86 miles per hour. Also worked out from the outfield. Clean close to and through the baseball. Gets the ball out quickly through a smooth transfer. Shows arm strength and online carry to the bags topping out at 86 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with an even stance to start and leg lift trigger for timing. Slightly uphill path to the ball with quick hands to contact. Consistently worked the pull side of the field with elevated contact. Good student as well.
