Jonathan Humphrey is a 2008 OF/P with a 5'10'', 143 lb. frame from Waccabuc NY, who attends Kennedy Catholic. Humphrey has a medium size frame with a slender thin build. Defensively, Humphrey has solid footwork and moves to the ball well in the outfield. He throws with a high release and makes online throws. At the plate, Humphrey starts with a wide base and flexed knees. He uses a short load and starts his swing with a short stride. He has a 2-piece swing and looks to keep his hands inside the baseball. He has the ability to hit the baseball to all fields. Humphrey pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a long arm action. He uses a drop and drive style delivery and finishes online well. He maintains good balance throug his delivery and had good command of the strike zone in the showcase game. Humphrey is an outstanding student.
