Tyler Parks is a 2023 2B/RHP/IF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Asheboro, NC who attends Southwestern Randolph. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an even, balanced stance with a low hand load, has strength and quickness to his swing, simple timer and load keeps him consistently square with the ball, very good game swings, gets extended out front and can pull the ball with jump and some carry, is a confident hitter with skills and tools to develop. 7.77 runner, has sound fundamental actions defensively at second base, works behind the ball with an early glove and clean exchange, has good arm strength for a second baseman and can throw from multiple angles. Also pitched, fast paced delivery with a compact arm stroke and a high 3/4's arm action, has energy at release and tends to fall off to the first base side. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 82 mph early out of the wind up, mostly straight. Rare soft 11/5 curveball. Bat is his tool. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
