Stephen Rodgers is a 2008 IF/OF with a 5'10'', 150 lb. frame from Sandy, Utah, who attends Cottonwood High School. Rodgers has a lean and projectable frame. Defensively he has nice footwork in the middle of the diamond that gets him in proper fielding position. He also has range to both sides, and he shows body control on slow rollers. Rodgers has soft hands, and he makes a nice exchange on slow rollers. Overall, Rodgers has good actions. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an open stance with a short stride. Rodgers is a line drive hitter with a compact swing. He is short and quick to the ball staying balanced throughout, and he has the ability to hit to all fields. Rodgers has bat speed, and he looks to put the ball in play and make things happen. He is a hustle type player who competes. Rodgers is a very good student as well.
