Jacob Liberta is a 2019 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Valley Christian. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.04 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, athletic footwork while working through the baseball. Developing fluidity while funneling the baseball with clean exchanges. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 86 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance. Stays on back side throughout with rotational lower half actions to contact. Inside path to contact with a level, line drive plane through extension. Flashed some bat speed at contact when turning the barrel and working to pull side. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and flashed some barrel feel when on time and squared. Also pitched working exclusively from the stretch. Stays tall on back side at gather with a medium leg lift. Works to the plate with drop and drive actions and lands in line with the plate on front side. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed some running action to arm side sitting in the upper 70's, topped at 80 miles per hour. Curveball had 1/7 shape with loose spin and occasional tilt in the mid 60's. Also flashed a changeup offering that had some sinking action to the bottom of the zone. Showed feel for all three pitches when working in tempo and repeating arm action. Good student as well.
