Nathaniel Garcia is a 2020 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Claremont, CA who attends Claremont. Medium frame with longer limbs and a slender build with room to fill. Ran a 7.41 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Looks to work around the baseball and towards the bag. Fields out in front with a deeper funnel. Works into a compact exchange and through a low three-quarter arm slot. Stays accurate to the bag topping out at 82 MPH. Righthanded hitter with a narrow stance to start and leg lift trigger. High hand set into a compact bat path. Rocks back into an early load. Rotation actions looking to generate lift out on front. Mostly works to the pull side with occasional jump off the barrel. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple side step into a leg lift to the belt delivery. Lands in line to the plate. Compact arm circle in the back and into a high three-quarter arm slot. Will create both some slight downhill angle on the fastball as well as some running life at 84 MPH. Works a curveball through the zone with an 11-to-5 shape with the ability to go below the zone and create some swing and miss. Excellent student as well.
